[MF3D.FORUM:1512] NSA, MF in Stereo World

Excellent points Ernie. I'm sure that whatever your interest in Stereo
Photography is, the NSA has been one of the biggest inspiration and
recruiting tool to the art in recent years. Second only to the internet!
I have found in the past that the ISU's magazine Stereoscopy does tend to
put more focus on MF stereo than Stereo World does. Could this be an
American Bias? Most of the best MF stereo cameras were indeed European,
mostly French and German. Viewmaster and the Realist of course were US
inventions, and Stereo world definately covers those items no problem.
But before I put my foot in my mouth, I found the following on the NSA home
page:
"6 X 13 WONDERS (a feature continually evolving and growing with every
delay in its eventual publication)celebrates a stereo format - one employed
for both transparencies and prints, and the one most easily freeviewed as
well as magnified through the most basic viewers. From the cameras and
stereoscopes of the 19th and early 20th centuries to the latest folding
paper viewers, this format has been employed by both amateurs and
specialized commercial publishers to produce a surprisingly diverse and
valuable stereographic record."
Does anyone know what issue is Stereo World this article was included in?
Does the word "feature" mean they are having an exclusive MF stereo related
issue?
As for submitting any articles, I am no expert. I just like to tinker and
be inspired by others. It certainly should be said there is no better
medium for gathering MF info and sharing ideas than on this list.
