Hi Greg,
I did find some of your shots very grainy compared to Bob Clark's. Either
the labs are inconsistant or it is very unforgiving on slightly unexposed
shots. This is not the first time I've observed this, which is why I've not
been attracted to this film. My own experiences with film going out of date
is that it does bring out grain more than fresh film, although I'm only
referring to color film.
On a similar note I was out in the mountains today shooting a roll of Ort
25. I didn't have any processing instructions so I tried a low contrast
developer from Photographer's Formulary. The results are very contrasty but
may be salvagable in the conversion to positive. Doesn't look like I'll put
any B&W this round, as I'm 6 months behind on my B&W.
As for the flower shots, I'd leave them in. I didn't see any other
closer-up shots yet, so they'll compliment the next round. You'll also see
if anyone else noticed!!!
