I se the rollfilm baxks from both an old Burke & James Royal panoram (with its
own small groundglass) or from the Navy Torpedo camera.
Actually, I have one extra such rollfilm holder for sale. $350.00 plus S&H.
Looks and handles like new. WIll take 120/220 film. Can be attached to a 5x7
camera. Did so myself before my old 5x7 fell apart. Price includes a
groundglass holder.
You can build your own 6x18cm camera (2x7 inches exactly) around one of these
film holders. Many have done so. Either a fixed lens box camera, with or
wtihout focusing mount, or as a homemade view camera with bellows and and
drawbed. I have made both, and get excellent results by applying patience. The
fixed box (actually a modified Navy Torpedo camera) has a 120mm lens, the
viewcamra a 180mm lens.
