Noblex 135U problem?

Change of topics.  My Noblex 135U is causing me some concerns and I wonder if
it is a battery problem or if the camera need service.  At low speed, say 
about 1/2 and 1 s the drum rotation sometimes stopped and the red indicator went
off.  However, when I touched the speed dial knob,  it worked again.  This
happend a couple of times and ruined a couple of shots.  I wasn't sure if this
was caused by loose contact of some camera components or if it was because the
battery was low.  After change of battery,  it worked better but I haven't 
tried real shot yet.  I've had the camera for a little over a year and only
shot less than 20 rolls through it (obviously not a pro).  The camera was never
abused.  Anyone experienced similar problem when the battery is low?
