Horizon-202 modification

I'm presently investigating the possibility of converting
my Horizon lens.  I don't like a wide angle lens for
panoramas and want to convert my Horizon from 28 mm
to 50 mm. My first attempt will be to add a X2 tele
converter inside the lens drum. Does anyone know if this
has been done ?
