FW: Scanning 35mm Panoramic with HP Scanner

I believe HP's new upgraded scanner, the S20, will scan longer than 24x36mm
film apertures. I just purchased one from CompUSA and it seems to work fine.
It's supposed to be more for the "professional" market as it's GUI is more
complete - numbers on the sliders (!!!!), will batch digitize a strip,
recognizes not everyone puts transparancies in mounts, does 36 bits (and
imports them to a compatible application like Photoshop), and virtually
eliminates the noise in the denser areas of the film.

There are a couple of good reviews on the net....and it's only $100 more
than the original version. I will probably still buy Hamrick software, once
it becomes available for this scanner.
