Re: V-pan problems
Dear Pan group.
I'd like to add that Art-Panorama also makes a 6x17
interchangeeable back
for 4"x5" cameras. I bought one several years ago and
enjoyed it, even though
it was limited to lenses up to about 150mm before it
vignetted. As my photo-
graphy grew and the need for longer lenses dictated I had
the 4x5 adaptor
plate converted to a 5"x7". I now use it on a 5x7 Sinar
with a wider range
of focal lengths.

It is probably better to make your own V-pan using a 5x7
camera to which you
attach a Navy-Torpedo or a Burke & James Royal panoram 6x17
rollfilm back.
I've heard that the V-pans are not as refined as they ought
to be.
