I was interested by this post re: Noblex shift problem.

I have a Noblex 135U that, so far, has worked consistently and well.
This camera
has been wonderful and so I decided to buy a 150UX. I bought the 150UX
from
Robert White but it came to me flawed was returned it. (Robert White
was
wonderful to do business with, even though I had to return my camera to
him and he
lost both the sale and shipping fees both ways, he was as helpful and
cordial as a
person can be. His web site:
http://www.robertwhite.co.uk/panoramic.htm
Robert's prices are significantly less than anyone else I have seen sell
Noblex.)

The problem with the 150UX was that the slow speed motor module (which
in my
opinion, is a bulky after thought; in comparison to the 135U where the
slow speeds
are integral and elegant) did not engage to turn the LED to red, and
secondly the
speed selector dial did not line up with the shutter speeds in the slow
range, so
one never was sure of which speed one had selected. Although these were
not major
problems I did not want to spend that much money on a defective camera.
I would
have gladly settled for a replacement but all his Noblex 150UX cameras
had
similiar problems.

Even after this experience I admit that I yearn for a 150. I wonder if
these are
really dependable enough to justify the substantial investment. Have
other folks
had other Noblex problems, or are their cameras performing up to par?
