to robert morton- i have long been able to use simon/wide magazines (6x17)on big bertha (sports home graflex modification) 5x7 with 900mm lens, as well as plaubel 5x7 hand camera with f.5.6 90mm super angulon and 53mm f.4. super anuglon (schneider) as well as 5x7 sheet film in holders. i hesitate to mention this on the pan list lest i offend some listmember and cause yet another unsubscribe. simon nathan

Well that would be a bit of a miracle as the 17cm side is 6.7"--longer than
the long side of a 4x5.

So let me re-phrase it...

What the world needs is a 6x17 back that fits on a 5" x 7" camera...

Keith Canham has been threatening to do this for years... I spoke to him at
the NYC PhotoPlus show and he didn't sound too enthusiastic... problems
with tooling, etc... but he is still working on it.
