Dear Garet,
Some tripood centerposts can be removed and inserted from the bottom, but
that would only give you low angle shots (and maybe legs).
A fairly simple - but stiff - rectangular bracket could be fabricated so you
could turn the camera over and have another 1/4-20 tripod bushing.
