Just guessing, but a 2 GB single file ceiling comes to mind. And 
with Macs, you might need to accommodate such temp files in 
RAM? BTW, how much time does it take to stitch such large 
files? Can GB sized VR or image files be enjoyably viewed and 
manipulated on an "average" computer, or is the goal rather 
large printed output with lots of detail?
