I also use the same head.  It is very precise, easy to use.  A pin can be
moved to a number of holes providing detents at specific angles of
rotation.  Recommend some method of leveling under this head . . . other
than playing with the tripod legs.  I use a QR plate below the rotating
pano head to mount it on top of a 3-way head with leveling bubbles built
into it.  On top of the Bogen Pan head is a slide plate with another QR on
top of that which allows using the Bogen QR "L" bracket to run the camera
vertical.  I was initially concerned about maintaining leveling with the
stackup, but it has worked out very well provided the "L" bracket is
attached to the camera body precisely (not tilting the body up or down).
Using the 3-way to level is quick, and it keeps things level as they are
rotated.
