I have a Globuscope from the original production run. As with most panorama
cameras the time spent has been one of love and hate. I love it and hate it all
in the same breath!.
I have used different brands of film in the camera and never had a problem. The
main problem has been banding. After a few trips to Globus and some reworking
of the inner bushings I determined the best way to operate it was with a cable
release...even hand held. Everett Brown in SLC. says the biggest trick is to try
and keep the camera upright even when traveling. That seem to help.
The worst problem overall for me has been the total lack of support from the
Globus brothers. I could go on about this but time does not allow!!!
Other than that it's a lot of fun to use and I must admit I have made a fair
chunk of change with the camera. I use filters 77mm taped to the outside, gels
taped to the inside...and that works fine. The biggest trick is to do 2 or 3
revs and adjust the center point later. Film is cheap! and this insures the
camera is up to speed.
PLease contact me direct if I can answer more ?. The camera is for sale as I am
ready to move to 120 size.
