To clarify, I'm looking for a true rotational camera that I can use for both
representational shots (minimal distortion) and experimental work
(distortion at will). An old Cirkut might be great fun but I understand from
lurking here that they can also be quite tricky. Besides, I would rather
start out with a less expensive rotational camera if it is possible to get
one that is less expensive but still good. That's the dint of my questions:
How much do I need to spend.
I am not looking for a camera primarily for Web usage. I want to use it for
silver gelatin prints that are gallery quality.
Alan Zinn wrote me about the Lookaround Camera. I liked many of the shots I
saw on his Web site and the fact that it can apparently be handheld, but I'm
not sure I know enough to evaluate the capabilities of the camera. I'd be
interested in hearing some reviews of this camera offline or in getting URLs
for any Web site reviews.
Recommendations for other cameras would also be welcome.
Thanks,
Katherine
