Dear Gary,

A few years ago I bought a Stylus Photo (which I believe became the 700) and
made thousands of amazingly high-quality prints on it. The down side is the
amazingly short life of these prints when exposed to light.

If you can, go for the 870 which has a newer, more stable ink system. I just
got a 1270 (same ink type) and am very pleased with the results.
