Bob,
I think that you should do it in the same manner as E.O. did with his military
shots all those years ago. Forget the coal bin and build a tower then put your
16' cirkut tripod on top of that.........................just
joking.................however, I don't know whether you have seen the book of
his work put out by (I Think) Texas University Press? It shows a classic E.O.
pose.....for one of his military shoots he built a tower that looks about 80'
high and then put a 16' Cirkut tripod on TOP of it and the photo shows him
standing with his feet wedged in the struts of the tripod to get high enough to
focus the camera.........he was a man who knew no fear.............
