Hi Bob,
I guess you missed my lecture on Formation Panoramas up at the last World
IAPP meeting. I was up over 50 feet in the cherry picker and it was rock
steady. I used a truck owned by the local power company, and we had three
people in the bucket! You could get a sissor type platform to shoot
from.They are very inexpensive. I think they will go up high enough for you
to put the 12 foot ladder on top and then stand on top of the ladder! If you
want to do it like E.O., you will need to put a ladder on the top and stand
on the top you know. (Joke)... But this might not be such a funny idea for
you since you would only need to go up a measly 18 feet with the platform if
you put the 12 foot ladder on top of that. No problem really...hell, E.O.
had a rig on his car that would do what you are trying to do!
