Actually, they may already exist in the theatre industry.  In the late 1980s, 
a local multiplex theatre was being built from the ground up, and some of 
the screens were made silver, in purposeful anticipation of showing 
upcoming 3D movies.
As you can guess, one has never been shown there, but at least
they had vision!  :-)
I can only guess that this *isn't* the only place around the country that
has the capability of showing polarized 3D movies.
(Minimally, there's all those places that showed "Comin' At Ya" in the
early 80s.)
