Revere question

A friend of mine asked if I could find an answer for him. (One of the four
stereographers here in Boise, Idaho!)

He has a Revere (sp) Stereo camera. On the back there is a switch (?) around
the rangefinder window that has a Red Dot with 3-10 feet and a Blue dot with
10-infinity. He can't see any change anywhere when he switches it.

Is it broken on his camera or what does it do?
