Yes, after some practice you practically don't notice the "other"
picture of the two. I think I only look at the left one for framing
and focus.
However you do look at both. The beamsplitter has something even better
than a bubble for leveling the shot (and I do have bubble'd "real"
stereo cameras). You adjust your camera's level to make the two images
"even" with each other. You end up doing that naturally and nearly
instantly (no bubble sluggishness or taking your eye off the subject).
and because it's on a SLR, they REALLY are level. Or pretty close with
practice.
Still like "real" stereos better ('cept when I need a fast shutter).
