Eric...I often make Cibachome (Ilfochrome today) 14 x 17 inch prints
from one side of a Realist stereo pair (Ektar Realist) and have done
same from TDC Vivid. I mostly shoot the F40 Verascope to get a good
horizontal format. 
My aim is to shoot stereo as my main effort..but have a means of
making a large display print if necessary. I also "shoot" with other
cameras to play around, but the stereo is what counts...and if
travelling light I take a stereo with tripod and a Maxxum 7Xi with
28-200mm Tamron zoom.  BobH
