These have been around a long time. I remember being fascinated by one
when I was a kid. I just couldn't understand how that coin could look
so solid and not really be there.
American Science & Surplus has them too, and I think they're a bit cheaper
there (US$40, I think). Their address, as well as that of Edmund
Scientific, is in the 3D Products & Services file.

I recently saw one in a "scientific toy" store. You're right -- the image
quality of the coin wasn't good enough to fool me into thinking it was
real. I guess they just don't make 'em like they used to.
