Many thanks to Michael Kaplan for checking out the lenticular
and flat screens.  Just the sort of thing I wanted to know.

I've been calling phone numbers on that list I posted of 
projection screen manufacturers.  I haven't found a manufacturer
of a non-lenticular silver screen but I have found that they
get a lot of requests for same not from 3D folks but from folks
who want the higher resolution.  Maybe Pop Photo was right; the
manufacturers make high-profit screens and not what the public
wants.
