My only experience with anaglyphs comes from computer anaglyphs.
In this case, to get natural coloration is only the *second* goal.
The first one is to avoid ghosts, especialy with the red filter.
For a good compromise between global density and filtration,
you can do your own glasses with :

    GamColor (MEDIUM RED XT n0 250 and BLUEGRASS n0 690)
 or Lee Filters (Primary Red 106 and Lee Peacock Blue 115)
