The Austin Artiscope

Recently I came across an interesting 3-D related item, the Austin
Artiscope. Its a freehand drawing apparatus that uses 1/2 frame color 3D
slides, instead of using an actual model or object to draw. Its not the
brightest idea, since a person could simply use a real object instead of a
3-D slide, but thats a whole other arguement. According to the manual, it
was made by Charles Austin of Cincinnati Ohio in 1946. I have the
adjustable drawing board with the attached 3-D viewer, as well as the
original drawing paper, thumb rule, tacks and of course a box of 16 stereo
slide of various subjects. Has anyone seen one of these things? Is anyone
interested in seeing one of these things? Please feel free to e-mail me at
the above address if you are interested in owning one of these beauties..Oh
yeah..I also have the original wooden box that it came in.........Mike
P.S....I also agree that we should keep the list as it is and not break it
up..Id just subscribe to any and all lists that would be formed anyway.
