More New Viewer

This new viewer talk is getting interesting. However, it seems I have not
made my original idea clear.

I was aware that given the low numbers involved we were unlikely to get a new
viewer mass-produced by a company at $150. I was proposing a scheme where we
design plans for club distribution and everyone can build their own. I had
forgotten that Paul Milligan had already done something like this. I have not
seen his plans, so I can't comment on whether his viewer would be adequate
for twin 2 x 2 use. But spending $150 on some quality lenses and some
wood and hardware does not seem unreasonable to me. If the RBT folks are
able to build a nicer viewer at only $250, maybe I would forget about
investing my time building my own. RBT's work is outstanding, but I'm not
sure whether their price will be acceptable to the rest of the world. Anyway,
as soon as I see Paul Milligan's plans I could at least gauge better as to what
would be involved in building a viewer myself. No one yet has answered my
earlier question as to the date of magazines the plans were published in.
Anybody know??
