There is (or was, anyway) a Cokin filter holder made for point & shoot
cameras.  The filter holder, rather than screwing into the lens, is
built with a mounting bracket that fastens to the bottom of the camera
by a screw into the tripod socket.

Cokin provides close-up lenses in +1, +2 & +3.  It works very well on
the Nimslo.

You should be able to find this filter holder and the lenses at any
_camera_ store.  Chances would be "iffy" at a mall shop.
