I hear and respect your option, but I would like to present a different
opinion on this subject.  Why is it ideal to reproduce the 3-d
scene as the eyes see it and without "window"?  There is a lot of clutter
around us.  Having a limitted field of view allows you to select what you
want to show.  Keep the clutter out.  That's what composition is all about.
Also, the wider 36x24 format is good for certain situations only
(landscapes).  When taking pictures of people, the square format is more
appealing me. -- George Themelis
