This has been done often, and with excellent results. Ray Zone recently showed a
series of slides at a meeting of the Stereo Club of Southern California that he
and Paul Wing had created from antique French tissue prints (comparing front and
banklit versions), David Starkman and Susan Pinsky have put together several
shows of antique cards they have transferred to film, and there are usually two
or three such programs at the NSA conventions, too.
