I thought that I had somehow screwed up while downloading the FAQ and
downloaded it again. The same pages are missing  on my FAQ. I also managed
to print it out and found the letter combination "fi" missing. Every
iteration of the word "film" becomes "lm". After a while it actually begins
to make sense. So the answer is "yes, the 3d FAQ is damaged".
