Fences in stereo...

Regarding the discussion about fences in stereo...

     I have to mention that among my embarassingly small collection of
stereoviews I have an image by the H.C.White Co.:

     (77)3884 "The wealthy commercial city of Osaka from the top of Tennojt
temple, Japan" (copyright 1907)

     ...in which an expansive cityscape is seen through a wire fence.  When
seen in stereo the fence floats above the background in an absolutely
wonderful and surprising way!  The flat design of the fence is not unlike a
traditional Japanese pattern, and the three-dimensional image behind it
makes for an interesting comparison between 'western' and 'eastern'
depictions of space.
