I have fence photo experience; I shot some old planes through a chain link fence.

It was easy to do, but the worst part was composition. It was very hard to compose the photo
because you couldn't move the camera away from the fence or move it (side to side) much or
else the chain would interfere with the image. You have to find subjects
on the other side of the fence that will work with your limitation (just the
right shape, just the correct distance away...).
And someone else (sorry, lost in bit bucket) replied to Mark:

Ah, reason #12 why you should sell your Realist, and get a nice Kodak! (But who's
counting?) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
The Kodak lens cap removes completely.
