Responses to Digest 1220

Jim Crowell on 3/11/96 Digest 1220
Jim -
Enjoyed your comments on putting emulsion on "bizarrely-shaped objects" and
printing photos on them. Fun to do with projecting slides onto such objects. A
friend told me about a show he projected on the inside (or outside, I forget
now) of a freezer. The slides were cold winter shots. Clever idea. I guess
I'll contact theatrical-types about silver paint safe on skin to project
polarized stereo slides. I'll post a message when I get it done and let you
know if it worked.

Appreciated your response about Sara Cook and Bob Munn projecting stereo slides
on bodies in their Depthography show. I'd like to catch that, but, frankly,
doubt it will ever come to West Virginia! Country living has its benefits, but
has its drawbacks too.

You asked for good 3D attractions "en route" for your trip this summer. Just a
thought--several years ago I read a magazine article (which, unfortunately, I no
longer have) about a beautiful, large, sculpture garden someplace in NY state.
They had many acres with large sculptures scattered around among the grass and
trees. Would be a wonderful place for 3D photography. Anybody know the
name/location of the place?

Best things to do at the convention? Jeez, it's tough to say. From my point of
view, I'd make sure to get to a bunch of the slide projections (they can be
incredible) and to the trade show. Good luck figuring out what to miss!
