All is not lost!  Quickly call your wife and tell her not to
do anything that will write to the hard disk.  Have her save all 
her work to floppies or something.  Then get a copy of a disk
utility that has an "undelete" function!  This will not save 
everything, but it will save whatever has not already been 
overwritten.
