This is actually why I got into doing stereoviews in the first place -
I wasn't that big a collector before going into digital photo restoration/
preservation. But it occurred to me that with stereoviews you get two, two,
two copies of a photo for the price of one (albeit slightly different). So
as long as the image degradation did not occur in the SAME relative place
on each view, you could patch them together (with a bit of blur) to come up
with one usable image. It seems to work pretty well.
