The current issue of On Production magazine discusses a new attraction at
Universal Studios Florida, Terminator2: 3-D, which will open this spring.
Projected in 70mm 3-D on three screens each 23x50 feet, the attraction mixes
live action and film in a multi-media mix.
The 3-D photography includes live action and computer graphics images.
The stereographic crew includes Chuck Comisky, who dates back to Jaws 3-D,
and stereographic DP Peter Anderson, who has long been an acknowledged master
of exotic film formats and processes. 3-D camera systems are from Steve
Hines and Chris Condon.
The new attraction is budgeted at $60 million including the 13-minute
3-D film.
The Universal park's only other foray into 3-D presentations was an
Alfred Hitchcock attraction based on the film, The Birds.
