It Came From Outer Space
I also saw this one as a kid in the mid-1950s in tandem stereo projection.
I don't recall the print being sepia toned, but certainly this could have
been the case. When the spacecraft crashed into the side of a mountain,
people in the audience dove for the floor as boulders came through the
stereo window.
I also saw the film in tandem 16mm 3D, and it was a shadow of the original
35mm presentation, so anaglyph...
In this case, the museum was probably right to have originally booked a
2D print of the film-- I'd think anaglyph 3D for It Came From Outer Space
would just be annoying.
