Talkin' Stereoviews

One of the major problems with talking about stereoviews is the lack
of substantial subjects to discuss without actually 'seeing' the images. I
can list out the titles of some of my favorite views, but this would be
less than entertaining for those without their own copy. The technical
aspects of stereo photography are perfectly suited to this sort of forum
and it is no wonder why it dominates discussion. Don't get me wrong...I
love talking about my collecting, and hope that others will share their
finds and war stories with the rest of us.
Alright...to share one of my recent finds:
I came across a near mint condition Sawyer's View-Master Album full of
likewise condition singles dating from around 1943-1955. There are some
really nice hand-written and SP examples, as well as the mint'est early
kids reels I've ever seen. The colors are unbelievable in these reels and
and the original owner never bothered to write anything on the envelopes,
which is rare.
:-)jamie.
