Thanks Jamie! I could not have put it any getter than this... I do collect
stereo cards... so what? What am I going to do? When I find cards or
boxed sets or VM reels or Realist slides, for a decent price, I buy them,
look at them, keep a list, look for more and that's the end of it. I enjoy
looking at the images... I buy them because I like to look at them not
because I like to "collect". What's there to talk about? I don't really
care about the biography of the person who took the pictures or the
equipment that were used... As Andy Burr said some time ago, just bragging
about my latest finds is not a good conversation topic.
Stephen Warren (I got it right this time, didn't I? ;)) is right when he
said that there are not many dedicated collectors in the list... I am sure
that the ratio of collectors/users in much higher in NSA than photo-3d but
this has more to do with computers and age, I believe... Without any data
on hand, I believe that a typical serious collector of stereo views is of a
rather advanced age and does not use a computer... (note: this is
statistics... please do not write to me to tell me that you are a young
collector with a computer... ;))
