Several people have commented on the fact that anaglyph colors just don't seem
compatible with NTSC television (whereas they do usually work fairly well on a
VGA computer monitor). They are usually fine on movie film, except for the
unfortunate fact that film's color tends to shift over time. We recently took a
look at several of the old Universal-8 anaglyph super-8 releases at a meeting of
the movie division of the Stereo Club of Southern California, and the prints had
shifted markedly toward the red in the years since they were made, compromising
the (originally) good anaglyph effect.
