Morris Keesan's post on Trimensional Media brings to mind a piece of 3D video
I saw on TV at least ten years ago, of a bunch of cheerleaders who'd formed a
human pyramid, and the darn thing actually looked somewhat three-dimensional
without the aid of Pulfrich glasses, polarizers, field-sequential, red-blue
or anything. It apparently was done by superimposing images from two video
cameras, and it seemed to work fairly well, if memory serves. Could this be
similar? If not, does anybody know what I'm talking about? ('Cause I sure
don't.)
