Stereo VCR?

Not knowing any specifics about this VCR, it seems like it would be a very
simple hack to get stereo recording - two cheap camcorders or other matched
CCD cameras as inputs (if you recorded live, it would eliminate synch
problems) and
the whole setup could be fairly portable with some more hacking, though not
nearly so convenient as the Toshiba camcorder (the camera end could be
light, but the recorder/power pack would be a bulky, heavy bag or case.)  If
the VCR is set up to only record side-by-side images from the internal
tuner, the hacking would be rather more difficult, though.

Sounds interesting, at the least.
