We're everywhere!

On Saturday May 11, our camera club held a field trip. The plan was to take the Weehawken Ferry into New York, attend a showing of "Across the Sea of Time" and then visit the USS Intrepid (and assorted other ships on display). Although the last forecasts on friday called for a dismal day, we nonetheless pushed off on our journey. The weather turned out to be fine and we all had a great time (not counting the horrendous weather we encountered on the way home...). But probably the most exciting moment for me was standing in the lobby gift shop of the Imax theatre and having a gentleman walk up to me and inqure what type of camera I had (Kodak BTW). He then asked me if I was in the Internet group and introduced himself, it was our own Morris Keesan! How exciting to be able to put a face with the name. Unfortunately we were on our way into the theatre and they were on the way out so we didn't get to talk too long... (moments later my son came over to tell me that some of our members were on their way DOWN the escalator and I had to quickly round them up so they wouldn't miss the show...)

Okay, meeting other 3D'ers at the Imax may not be such a coicidence after all, but it was still a thrill!
