Hi, Bruce!
Yeah, it is fun unexpectedly meeting people in Real Life. Lori and I were
in NYC
to spend the weekend going to theatre, so we didn't even bother bringing cameras
with us, making you a better target than we were.
My comments on the movie (Across the Sea of Time): The stereo effect is
really good,
and they managed to totally avoid the temptation to throw things through the
screen
at the audience. I did notice a few times near the beginning of the film
when there
seemed to be mounting problems, objects at the very edges of the screen that
were
through the window and cut off. I actually had to close one eye a few times
to avoid
disorientation, notably during the rollercoaster ride. And although the
goggles had
no noticeable flicker, I did have a slight headache by the end of the hour,
from the
pressure of the headband holding the goggles on. The plot is rather thin,
but it
wasn't what we went for.
Downstairs on the second floor of the cinema is an exhibit with some of the
historical
images from the movie mounted in Wheatstone-style mirror viewers, and
unfortunately
they printed the images right-way round, without flipping them for the
mirrors, so
everything was reversed.
