K14 vs. E6 (digest 1348)

The discussion on film types prompted me to dig out some old slides.
I've always been happy with Kodachrome over the years but since shooting Fuji's Sensia and Provia films recently I've found there's no comparison as far as color saturation in the Fuji films. The only thing that does bother me is longevity. Comparing Ektachrome and Kodachrome slides I took back in the 70's (long before getting hooked on 3D) I noticed that the Koda was just as fresh and crisp as the day that I took them. The Ekta's were terrible, washed out and in some cases some colors turn into dull pastel hues.
I know alot of of the problems with the 25 year old Ektachromes was storage (even though the Kodas were in the same box). These slides have seen the worst in adverse climates....high temps, below freezing, dry and humid climates. I had a small fungus problem on both slide types but the Kodas cleaned up well with a mild detergent.
Since it is becoming a real pain to finding local labs that have licenced K14 processing I'm thinking about a wholesale shift to the newer E6 films in general just for the convienance.
