"I was using the local drug store to precess.."

precess? is that done before you expose the film? ;--)

George, I think you've mixed up several posts. I am BILL Davis and I
posted about speaking with the Director of Quality Assurance at
Dwayne's Photo Service about a Kodachrome processing complaint. My
post wasn't about discount chain E-6 processors. (Maybe THAT was Peter
Davis?) I'm not surprised that you learned that the handlers are
earning minimum wage at those places. Kodachrome is a whole different
animal to process, as has been described in far more expert detail by
others on this list. I'm not sure the processors would trust that to
the minimum-wage kids.

>Here is what I did: I took my business elsewhere...

The trouble with this from a quality assurance point of view, is that
by mutely walking away, the other lab may never know that there is a
problem. If none of my customers ever complained, I could never expect
to improve my product or service.

> Seven days is WAY TOO LONG for me to wait...

While I enjoy 3-D photography, I have more than enough important
projects to keep me busy for 7 days or 70. When the slides come back,
I do a quick inspection, but many rolls don't get mounted for months.
