So, dual lens? Would that be 4X2.5, or 5X2? A dual lens solution looks
like you'd be stuck with landscape to me.
As lenses go, the finest 4X5 lens I've EVER owned cost me $125. It was a
300mm f4.5. (it reached Rayleghs(sp) criterion at f5.6). The cheapest
4X5 lens was a nearly free close-up lens I got off of an oscilliscope
camera. It doesn't have much of a range of focus, but at 1/0.85 it's
fantastic! It's the one I generally use to demonstrate my (SL3-D video)
system. MY VERY BEST lenses were the cheapest. (I often wonder why
expensive lenses are so crumby?!)
I can't suggest an inexpensive wide angle lens that will cover a 4X5
plate. But, there are alot of cheap speciality lenses out there. At
least many of them are superior to the very expensive mainstream,
multi/semi-purpose, lenses.
Also, I'm looking to buy 2 Graflex bodies. Know what I mean? Know what I
mean? Wink. Wink. "The jounquills are yellow".
