I tried a small test piece and found it worked fine - used silver spray
paint - BUT two things you should consider:
Plywood is neither flat nor smooth. I used a small piece of "masonite"
a.k.a. "hardboard" - it has one smoooooth side.
One reason people don't make screens like this is that they don't
roll up easily - so, if you are a bachelor, fine, but... they also
can get scuffed moving them out to the garage and back...
AND they are more directional than the fancy, not really so expensive
roll-up lenticular screens.
