I saw "Into the Deep" at Moody Gardens, Galveston, TX (near Houston),
and they used a flat (or slightly curved) screen and polarized glasses.
At Futuroscope (Poitiers, France) they show the same movie on a
hemispheric screen, with active LCD shutter glasses (at the Solido).
I was seated in one of the lower rows, and I noticed severe
distortions at the margins. The impression of clear blue water
was disturbed by the regular brick pattern on the ceiling of the globe.

Does anybody know if they use different projection lenses for
flat projection and hemisphere (180 degree) projection?
