At the risk of <pop> starting an off-topic flame <hiss> war, <crackle>
I do not agree that <skip> compact discs do not <tick> sound better
than vinyl.  They <scritch> certainly sound better after <warp> repeated
playings (although I'd be the first to say they should have used more
bits [resolution] and a higher sampling rate, but folks are working
on that...).  Some horrendous compromises went into records, too (ever
hear of something called the RIAA playback curve?).

Well, I know this audience :-) and I expected such an argument from them.
But there's an existing counter-example to your argument.  The resolution
of Sega and Nintendo games is continuing to increase even as the prices
continue to fall.  Even the kids are demanding more pixels.

True enough, but as far as I know, Bill doesn't (yet) own a company capable
of making a technically superior 3D film; Jobs does.  And Jobs may just be
dumb enough to do it. :-)
